SELOUS GAME RESERVES

Selous Game Reserve is Africa's largest widlife reserve. The reserve covers almost 5% of Tanzania's land area. Selous was designated by UNESCO as world heritage site in 1982 due to the diversity of its wildlife and undisturbed nature

Selous is named after Capt F Selous, a British explorer and hunter who died in 1917 and buried within the reserve.

The landscape of the reserve is dominated by the dry woodlands along the meandering Rufiji river and its tributaries. This scenery will offer unique sight and experiences to visitors..
